Allow me to explain something…

discrimination consists of harmful actions toward people based solely on group membership of a particular group...now that is a textbook definition, hard to argue against.

Now with this established definition, we can apply it.

Having body modifications puts you in a group, you either are in the have body mods group, or the no body mods group…considering people with body mods make up a group of people, yes they can experience discrimination, and yes it should be covered in the other protections employers must honor….

And don’t give me the bullshit “people put themselves in that group”…it doesnt matter if you choose a group or not, if group membership causes harmful action, that’s discrimination, period.

Also, if you are tattooed, Here’s a good experiment. Go to a place of business you know doesn’t hire tattooed people or requires them to cover them…Now ask to be serviced by someone with tattoos…then ask why they have to be covered or why no one works there with tattoos…then ask the business that since you are tattooed that they don’t want your business since people with tattoos don’t seem to be worthy of equal treatment in their eyes.

Esp when most of the time you have been edge for like a couple months and have it tattooed on your fucking face, hands, neck, etc. GET OVER YOURSELVES. This is the stupidest, most hypocritical, close minded thing I’ve ever read and I’m not even straight edge. You’re being just as judgmental as your mindset of edge kids. Get your head out of your ass.

The only part I agree with is edge people thinking it makes them better than other people. I understand you probably have nothing else to make feel better about yourself (having good character, being intelligent, creative, original, etc) and want to use this to inflate your self esteem and what not, but it SAYS NOTHING ABOUT MORAL CHARACTER TO NOT TAKE A DRUG/USE ALCOHOL. So please at least stop thinking you’re better than anyone for that aspect of your lifestyle, and please, violent ones please stop beating people over it, but otherwise, keep enjoying what you’re doing.

Community Service

for the first time today. I’m not sure why I’ve never volunteered before, but I’m excited because I get to be around animals which I very much enjoy. I have the choice of doing 20 hour of community service, or a 16-20 page paper for my Community Psychology class (this is one of those human diversity capstone etc courses they make you take) and of course I’m choosing to do community service. If I can pet some horses and goats and what not I’m sure I won’t mind spending the time there.
